Is that what they’re called? Surely not. Portrait of some sort. Extended portrait? Obelisk? Now that would be a bad-ass name…

Anyways, I shot one in the woods at Settles Bridge and forgot about it so here it is.

There’s some strange ‘garble-ing’ that I’ve noticed on iPhone images and I wonder if it has something to do with how their sensors compress images. Look at the sky between the trees and you’ll see almost a scallop pattern. I noticed it in some of my LA photos too.
